Isabel could not determine if the Security Components are installed

Internet Explorer
  1. Press . In the Run window, type appwiz.cpl and press Enter.
  2. A list with all installed applications will be shown. In this list, search for the "Isabel Security Components", "Isabel Beveiligingscomponenten" or "Composants de Sécurité Isabel".
  3. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options
  4. Go to the tab Security
  5. Select the zone Trusted sites and click on the button Custom level ...
  6. Under ActiveX controls and plug-ins make sure the option 'Allow ActiveX Filtering' is disabled and 'Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins' is enabled.

  7. Retry.

In case the problem isn't solved:

  1. Remove your currently installed Isabel Security Components.
  2. Reset your browser.
  3. Reboot your computer.
  4. Download and install the latest Isabel Security Components.

Still not solved?

To make sure that none of the items above are blocked in the Group Policy settings, ask your IT to check these settings.

Chrome
  • Open the Isabel 6 Control Panel: Start > (All Programs >) Isabel Services > Isabel 6 Control Panel.
  • doubleclick Version.

  1. Make sure JavaScript is enabled.
  2. Open the task manager, and end the task isabel_bisc.exe (Isabel Browser Independent Service)
    Launch isabel_bisc.exe in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Isabel
  3. Reset your browser.
  4. Start the login to Isabel 6 with 'Run as administrator'.
  5. Software known to interfere with Isabel 6.
Firefox

Verify your version of the Isabel Security Components

  • Open the Isabel 6 Control Panel: Start > (All Programs >) Isabel Services > Isabel 6 Control Panel.
  • doubleclick Version.

Version < 6.32

  •     please use Internet Explorer.

Version > 6.32

  1. Verify if your browser is up to date.
    • After updating the browser, reïnstall the Isabel 6 Security Components
  2. Verify if Firefox has access to the Isabel Multibrowser CA:
    • from the Menu select Options > Privacy & Security
    • Scroll down to certificates
    • Click View certificates > Authorities. Verify if Isabel Multibrowser CA is present in this list.
  3. If Isabel Multibrowser CA is not present:
    • Import the missing certificate :
      1. In Windows Explorer open certmgr.msc
      2. Navigate to Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Certificates
      3. Select Isabel Multibrowser CA
      4. From the Actions menu select All tasks > Export...
      5. Click Next > Base 64 > Next > Browse... > Provide a name and select a location > Save > Next > Finish
      6. In Firefox, from the Menu select Options > Privacy & Security
      7. Scroll down to certificates
      8. Click View certificates > Authorities > Import
      9. Select and import the certificate you saved in step 5.
    • Alternative solution: Allow Firefox to use the Trusted Root authorities from the Windows Certificate Store
      1. in the address bar type about:config and accept the warranty warning.
      2. search for security.enterprise_roots.enabled
      3. set the value to true
  4. Make sure JavaScript is enabled.
  5. Do you use the NoScript add-on?
    • From the Menu select Add-ons  then Extensions.
    • next to NoScript, click Options.
    • add these websites to the list of trusted websites:
      • https://webbanking.ibs6.isabel.be
      • https://www.isabel.eu
      • https://www.isabel.be
  6. Open the task manager, and end the task isabel_bisc.exe (Isabel Browser Independent Service)
    Launch isabel_bisc.exe in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Isabel
  7. Reset your browser.
  8. Start the login to Isabel 6 with 'Run as administrator'.
  9. Software known to interfere with Isabel 6.
Edge
  • Open the Isabel 6 Control Panel: Start > (All Programs >) Isabel Services > Isabel 6 Control Panel.
  • doubleclick Version.

In case the 'Chrome', 'Firefox' or  'Edge' solution didn't work for you, you can try to restart the BISC service


  1. Verify that all Mac software updates have been installed.
  2. Make sure you are using a supported browser (Safari, Chrome or Firefox) and that the browser is up-to-date.
  3. It's possible that the Isabel service is not responding, or if the Isabel 6 icon is not visible in the status bar, this indicates that the Isabel service is not running.

         
Restart the Isabel service
  • Click the Launchpad icon in the Dock.
  • Open the Isabel Control Panel .
  • Click on the button Restart Service .

If you cannot find the Isabel Control Panel , this indicates that the Isabel Security Components are not installed on your computer. Please download & install the Isabel Security Components and try again to log on to Isabel 6.

Firefox
  • In the Finder
    • Open Launchpad and search for the Keychain Access App
    • Navigate to Keychains > System
    • Select CA Bisc
    • From the File menu select Export Items...
    • Save the certificate
  • In Firefox
    • from the Menu select Preferences> Privacy & Security
    • Scroll down to certificates
    • Click View certificates > Authorities > Import
    • Select and import the certificate
    • Check the box: Trust this CA to identify websites
  • Make sure JavaScript is enabled.
  • Do you use the NoScript add-on ?
    • From the Menu select Add-ons  then Extensions.
    • next to NoScript, click Options.
      • add these websites to the list of trusted websites  :
      • https://www.isabel.be
      • https://www.isabel.eu
      • https://webbanking.ibs6.isabel.be

If the issue persists, try again in one of the other supported browsers.
