Isabel could not determine if the Security Components are installed

Please verify if the Isabel security components are installed.

  1. Press . In the Run window, type appwiz.cpl and press Enter.
  2. A list with all installed applications will be shown. In this list, search for the "Isabel Security Components", "Isabel Beveiligingscomponenten" or "Composants de Sécurité Isabel".

Note:
If you upgraded your operating system from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 or Windows 10:

  1. Remove the Isabel Security Components + reboot your computer
  2. Install the Isabel Security Components

Verify your version of the Isabel Security Components via the button:
Alternatively: Open the Isabel 6 Control Panel (Start > (All Programs >) Isabel Services > Isabel 6 Control Panel) & Doubleclick Version.

 

Internet Explorer
  1. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options
  2. Go to the tab Security
  3. Select the zone Trusted sites and click on the button Custom level ...
  4. Under ActiveX controls and plug-ins make sure the option 'Allow ActiveX Filtering' is disabled and 'Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins' is enabled.

  5. Retry.

In case the problem isn't solved:

  1. Remove your currently installed Isabel Security Components.
  2. Reset your browser.
  3. Reboot your computer.
  4. Download and install the latest Isabel Security Components.

Still not solved?

To make sure that none of the items above are blocked in the Group Policy settings, ask your IT to check these settings.

Google Chrome / Microsoft EDGE

Verify your version of the Isabel Security Components via the button above.

Version < 6.34

  • Please use Internet Explorer or upgrade to a newer version.

Version > 6.34

  1. Make sure that the webextension is enabled.
  2. Start the login to Isabel 6 with 'Run as administrator'.
  3. Reset your browser.
Firefox

Verify your version of the Isabel Security Components via the button above.

Version < 6.34

  • Please use Internet Explorer or upgrade to a newer version.

Version > 6.34

  1. Verify if your browser is up to date.
    • After updating the browser, reïnstall the Isabel 6 Security Components
  2. Do you use the NoScript add-on?
    • From the Menu select Add-ons  then Extensions.
    • next to NoScript, click Options.
    • add these websites to the list of trusted websites:
      • https://webbanking.ibs6.isabel.be
      • https://www.isabel.eu
      • https://www.isabel.be
  3. Make sure that the webextension is enabled.
  4. Start the login to Isabel 6 with 'Run as administrator'.
  5. Reset your browser.


  1. Verify that all Mac software updates have been installed.
  2. Make sure you are using a supported browser (Safari, Chrome or Firefox) and that the browser is up-to-date.
Restart the Isabel service

Only if the Isabel version is lower than 6.33
If the version is 6.33 or higher, the restart service isn't available anymore.

 

  • It's possible that the Isabel service is not responding, or if the Isabel 6 icon is not visible in the status bar, this indicates that the Isabel service is not running.
  • Click the Launchpad icon in the Dock.
  • Open the Isabel Control Panel .
  • Click on the button Restart Service .

If you cannot find the Isabel Control Panel , this indicates that the Isabel Security Components are not installed on your computer. Please download & install the Isabel Security Components and try again to log on to Isabel 6.

Firefox
  • Make sure the webextension is enabled.
  • Make sure JavaScript is enabled.
  • Do you use the NoScript add-on ?
    • From the Menu select Add-ons  then Extensions.
    • next to NoScript, click Options.
      • add these websites to the list of trusted websites  :

Upgrade to MacOS 10.15 Catalina

Some users may experience issues after the upgrade to MacOS Catalina.

Install the latest version of the Mac package (6.33.0012) to solve the issue.

If the issue persists, try again in one of the other supported browsers.
