Isabel provides each user with a class 3 commercial certificate. Other services and programs might accept your Isabel certificate as a means of identification.
Isabel does not own these services and does not decide which operation systems, browsers or cards are supported. Please contact the provider of the application or website.
Accessing eGovernment applications using an Isabel certificate is presently only possible on the Microsoft Windows platform.
Some applications require you to export your Isabel certificate and upload it via socialsecurity.be

To enable the use of eGovernment applications with an Isabel certificate on Mac, the government will first have to integrate our new implementation of the Isabel Security Components into their systems. For more information, feel free to contact eGov support.
If all of the above are OK but you are still unable to login to your Egovernment site using your Isabel 6 card, please contact the Egov support team to resolve your Egovernment logon issue
First check the configuration of your pc for the use of pdf-files via the Client Diagnosis Tool on the website of Egov (only available in Dutch or French).
If all checks in the Client Diagnosis Tool are succesfull and the issue remains, follow the next steps:
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, please make a screenshot of the complete screen with as much information as possible, the error message must be visible and try to make sure that the error message is not hiding any other message or relevant info. Please contact Isabel Customer Care with the requested information.
When signing a PDF document on an eGov website the error appears:
"Your signature device does not support the required hashing algorithm SHA256. Do you want to continue using the deprecated SHA1 algorithm or cancel the signature?"
When trying to log on to the Intervat website, you receive an error message: "Error 510 : An error occurred during the signature process".
As a user, if you want to disable all of the Isabel 6 eBanking functionalities and only want to use your certificate/card for eGov purposes, you need to either remove the active links you have with active eBanking contracts, or you will have to cancel all of the active eBanking contracts linked to this user. Once there is no longer any active link between this user and any active eBanking contracts, you will be billed only for the "Isabel Secured Access" for this user from that point onward, irrespective of any modules that are still active for this user.
Remark: Please note that we cannot disable the Standard Module / Signing Module for a user once these have been enabled, but as long as all of your eBanking contracts have been deactivated, or there is no longer any active link between this user and any active eBanking contracts, you will no longer be billed for any active modules for that particular user.
