What is GDPR?
The new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25th May and applies to the processing of personal data done at Isabel NV/SA, replacing the previous Belgian law for the protection of privacy.
Is Isabel 6 ready for GDPR?
Yes, we are ready. Isabel NV/SA has always taken security and privacy as a priority since its start. Fundamentally, this GDPR regulation does not change the relationship we have with our clients nor the way we process data for them:
What is the legal basis for processing personal data?
The legal grounds and purposes for processing personal data of Isabel 6 Users are the following:
What changes for me?
Your current contract with us has been adapted to reflect the changes in the regulation. An update of the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Statement can be found in the Legal Notices.
Do I have to get our Data Processing Agreement signed by Isabel S.A.?
No. Your contractual relationship with Isabel is based on contract formats which are or have been provided by Isabel. Therefore Isabel has taken it upon herself to develop an amendment to the relevant articles in our Terms & Conditions to align our contractual compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation. As a result of this amendment, article 8 of the Isabel General Terms and Conditions relating to Isabel Products and article 5.7 of the Special Terms and Conditions related to Isabel 6 have been adapted to reflect the clauses which are imposed by said regulation. There is no signature needed now when Isabel S.A. updates its Terms & Conditions.
We emphasize that the amendment is only intended to bring our agreement in line with the requirements of the new legislation on the matter and therefore does not affect any other element of our agreement.
