How to configure Isabel 6 for renaming or deleting files automatically after the upload?

As an Isabel 6 user you can benefit from additional functionality after installing the latest version of the Isabel 6 Security Components.

As you may know, it is possible to upload bank files manually from your own (local) hard disk or network directly to Isabel 6. You can now also set your Isabel 6 Preferences in such a way that these manually uploaded files can be renamed, deleted or simply left unchanged in Isabel 6 after uploading. We have implemented this functionality at the request of some users. This way you always have a clear view on which files have been processed or not.

How do you do this?

First you need to ensure that you are working with the most recent version of the Security Components. Click here to download the latest version. You can also check that you are actually working with the latest version each time you start Isabel 6. If you see this screen, you need to upgrade your Security Components by choosing the link.

After you have installed the latest version of the Security Components, set your Preferences:

  • Start Isabel 6. Go to Preferences in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
  • Go to the Transactions tab sheet.
  • Set the desired treatment of the file. You can choose from 3 options in the drop downl list Treatment of uploaded file after successful upload (even if file is not correct)

  • No treatment: this is the default behaviour for the treatment of uploaded files after succesful upload (even if the file is not correct).
  • Delete the file: after successful upload the original file will be deleted.
  • Rename the file: after succesful upload, the original file will be renamed according to the following principles: the file extension will be changed to 'SAV' and the date and time will be added in front of the original file name (e.g. yyyymmdd_hhmm_original filename.SAV).
