Minimum required hardware
  • PC IBM compatible
    (Not compatible with Citrix)
  • Intel Pentium 4 - 2,4 GHz processor or AMD equivalent
  • Free disk space: 25 MB
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • Screen resolution: 1024x768 or higher, 16 bit High Color
  • Broadband connection: ADSL, Cable, or Corporate LAN with broadband internet access 
  • Correctly configured PC/SC-compatible card reader, connected to the PC.

     Tip
    If you need to install a card reader, read
    article 5104 from the Isabel Knowledge Base.

  • An (activated) Secure Signing Card

System requirements
  • Windows 2000 with SP4 (32-bit version), Windows XP with SP2 and SP3 (32-bit version), Windows Vista with all SPs (32-bit and 64-bit version) or Windows 7 with all SPs (32-bit and 64-bit version)
    • For the installation or an upgrade, Administrator rights are required 
    • For a reinstallation:
      • Power User rights are required for Windows 2000 and XP; or
      • Administrator rights are required for Windows Vista and Windows 7
    • For the installation of the optional Isabel Offline Reporting application (as soon as available), Administrator rights are required
  • A valid e-mail address is recommended
  • Date, time & regional settings have to be correct. The automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time has to be checked
  • In Windows Vista and Windows 7 the WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) service must be running at install time. This service is running by default unless it has been deactivated manually
  • Adobe Reader 6 or higher
Internet browser

 Tip
Isabel 6 should work well with the default settings of Internet Explorer.

  • Minimum Internet browser version: Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 (Windows 2000 and Windows XP)
  • Recommended Internet browser version: Internet Explorer 8 (Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7)
  • Security level for Trusted sites: Low
  • ActiveX and Scripting Settings:
    • Download signed ActiveX controls: Isabel advises to set this option to Disable
    • Download unsigned ActiveX controls: Isabel advises to set this option to Disable
    • Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe: Isabel advises to set this option to Disable
    • Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins: this option must be set to Enable
    • Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting: this option must be set to Enable
    • Active scripting: this option must be set to Enable
    • Allow paste operation via script: this option must be set to Enable
    • Scripting of Java applets: this option must be set to Enable
  • SSL Settings:
    • Select the option Use SSL 3.0 (SSL 2.0 is not supported)
    • Optionally select the option Use TLS 1.0
