The Isabel OfficeSign 5.0 Control Panel
You can use the
Isabel OfficeSign 5.0 Control Panel to change your
OfficeSign settings, to diagnose possible problems or to get more
information about using OfficeSign.
Open the
Isabel OfficeSign 5.0 Control Panel by selecting
|

from the Windows
menu.
The
Isabel OfficeSign 5.0 Control Panel contains the
following elements:

User certificate update
frequency
To make sure your certificate on your PC does not expire, an
updated certificate is retrieved from the Isabel server on a regular
basis.
Click the
User certificate update frequency icon to specify
the certificate update interval.
OfficeSign will only try to retrieve an updated
certificate when
you try to create a digital signature with
OfficeSign, and
the last certificate update dates back further than the
number of days specified in the
Update frequency box.

If you select the
no warning messages option, no warning
messages will be displayed when OfficeSign fails to retrieve an
updated certificate from the Isabel server. |
Revocation status service
options
OfficeSign can be used to check whether certificates issued by
Isabel were revoked. Revoked certificates are no longer valid.
Click the
Revocation status service options icon to indicate
for which type of certificates a revocation status check needs to be
performed.

Click the
Isabel OfficeSign 5.0 Website icon to be taken to the
Isabel OfficeSign 5.0 website at
http://www.isabel.be/officesign/.
The Isabel OfficeSign 5.0 website offers access to online services related to
OfficeSign.
Isabel OfficeSign 5.0 is part of the Isabel Trust Suite. The
Isabel Trust Suite website provides more information and access to additional
online services. It's available at
http://www.isabel.be/trustsuite/.
Click the
User guide icon to open this user guide.
Click the
Support icon to be taken to an Isabel webpage with
frequently asked questions (FAQ) and answers for OfficeSign
users.
The support webpage is updated regularly with new questions that
were submitted to Isabel Customer Care by OfficeSign users, and for
which a solution was found.
Click the
IT Support icon to be taken to an Isabel webpage
with frequently asked questions (FAQ) and answers for system and network
administrators.
The IT support webpage is updated regularly with new questions
that were submitted to Isabel Customer Care by network and system
administrators, and for which a solution was found.
Click the
Test your signature icon to be taken to an Isabel
webpage to test your digital signature.
Install Certification
Authority
Click the
Install Certification Authority icon to add the
Isabel Certification Authority to your list of trusted root certification
authorities in case it has been removed.

Isabel software will not function properly if the Isabel CA
root certificate is not correctly installed. Refer to
http://www.isabel.be/pki/policies/
for guidelines on how you can verify that the correct Isabel CA root
certificate is installed on your PC. |
Click the
Version icon to get information about the
OfficeSign version installed on your PC. When you contact the Isabel
Help Desk, the Help Desk operator might need this information to help you solve
the problem you encountered.
Click the
Install your certificate icon to retrieve a copy
of your personal certificate from Isabel and store it on your PC in the
following cases:
Your Isabel certificate has expired and can't be used
anymore.
You want to use your Secure Signing Card and
OfficeSign on another PC than the one you used when registering your
Secure Signing Card for use with OfficeSign (see
“Step 3 - Register Secure Signing
Card(s)” for more information).
Click the
Connectivity tests icon to diagnose potential
network problems that prevent the PC from connecting to the Isabel Internet
services needed by OfficeSign.
