The new generation of Isabel products, Isabel Business Suite 5.0, is no longer just limited to pure eBanking: it is a complete platform for eBusiness. Isabel’s state-of-the-art technology now also enables you to safely and efficiently handle electronic invoices, business purchases or other online transactions. Isabel Business Suite 5.0, not just a new version Isabel has been extensively improved in terms of performance, ergonomics and stability. A lot of new functions (see below) have been added. As far as security is concerned, the improved identification system and the introduction of a new Secure Signing Card provide enhanced security for your electronic transactions. A fourth official language has also been added, so that Isabel Business Suite 5.0 is now available in Dutch, French, English and German. Isabel Business Suite 5.0 is a total solution for eBusiness tailored to your business needs. In fact, you can decide yourself which modules you wish to use. An overview of the features: Isabel eBanking: Now you will be able to manage and view your accounts even more easily. Isabel meets all standards in respect of (inter)national payments (ABB-BVB, CODA, IBAN, SWIFT). Isabel eInvoice: New Isabel modules for sending, receiving and archiving invoices electronically. You can import invoices from or export them to your accounting software. You can also input them manually. Isabel WebSign: Use Isabel WebSign to sign your transactions online with full confidence at Websites that use Isabel technology. Prior to any transaction, Isabel WebSign conclusively checks the identity of each user. If you do not wish to install all modules of the Isabel Business Suite 5.0 total package, you can opt to only install Isabel eInvoice or Isabel WebSign.

New in Isabel Business Suite 5.0 (version 5.01) In order to further simplify the installation, configuration and use of Isabel Business Suite 5.0, Isabel has added the following new features to version 5.01: Enhanced performance and functionality Installing under Microsoft Windows XP: In addition to installation in Windows 98/Millennium, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and Windows 2000 Professional, it is now also possible to install Isabel Business Suite 5.0 in Windows XP.See "Windows XP" Windows XP for details on the configuration of Isabel Business Suite 5.0 . Additional IBAN and BIC codes for smooth and inexpensive foreign payments which comply with European regulations (details at www.isabel.be FAQ section). Improved set-up for different types of card readers: see for further details. Online certification procedure: Large groups of users can now call on a considerably simplified online certification procedure to certify themselves as Isabel users.See section 5, p. 94: “Performing the certification procedure via the Isabel Card Activator Website” for further details on the online certification procedure. Become an Isabel Business Suite 5.0 user in 3 steps Of course you will want to get started quickly with Isabel Business Suite 5.0. But remember that applying for your digital Isabel certificate (and those of other Isabel users in your subscription) will take the requisite time. This rigorous certification procedure guarantees watertight access to the system. An important part of this certification procedure is personal contact with your bank. During the interview you will receive either a precertified Secure Signing Card or the key codes required to obtain a certificate. This will allow you to complete the certification procedure. You must complete three steps before you can work with Isabel Business Suite 5.0: Installation and configuration Either you, your system or network administrator or an Installation Partner must install the card reader and the software, and correctly configure your PC. Certification procedure (security procedure) Either you, your system or network administrator or an Installation Partner must complete the first part of the certification procedure if your Isabel package contains the Secure Signing Card. You complete the certification procedure after the interview with your bank. You will be able to complete the certification procedure yourself online if you have received a letter from Isabel informing you that your Secure Signing Card can be collected from your bank. Signing up to Isabel modules You choose what kind of package to put together yourself. In addition to the basic package, you can choose from a wide range of optional modules for electronic banking (eBanking), electronic invoicing (eInvoice) and general applications (Comfort Services). Installing and configuring Isabel Business Suite 5.0

Overview Presumably you will want to install all modules of Isabel Business Suite 5.0. However, there are a number of alternative installation options available. An overview: Installation options Isabel Business Suite 5.0 Isabel WebSign only Isabel eInvoice only What do you wish to do? Electronic banking (Isabel eBanking) P Electronic invoicing(Isabel eInvoice) P P Digital signature over the Internet (Isabel WebSign)—Remote signing of envelopes (IsaSign 5.0) P P P

Irrespective of the Isabel software selected (Isabel Business Suite 5.0, Isabel eInvoice only, Isabel WebSign only), you will need to complete a few more installation and configuration steps. The following steps are explained in more detail later in this chapter: If necessary, install Internet Explorer 5.5 or later.We recommend you install Web browser Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher for the Isabel Business Suite 5.0 total package if you wish to make full use of the functionality in Isabel WebSign. The same recommendation applies if you are installing Isabel eInvoice or Isabel WebSign only. Connecting the card reader.You will need a card reader and Secure Signing Card to work with Isabel. Installing of the actual Isabel software.Select one of the installation options above, depending on the functions you wish to use. Changing the configuration on your PC (mainly communications settings) if necessary.The installation procedure is the same for Windows 98/Millennium, Windows XP, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and Windows 2000 Professional. Your system configuration, however, depends on your operating system. The configuration options described in this manual relate mainly to connecting your PC to the Isabel network. Remark: Installing Isabel is not difficult in itself. However, it may be the case that a problem occurs with the modem, the COM port, the IRQ addresses, the TCP/IP settings or the external network access. To solve these problems some advanced knowledge of hardware and software is required. Make sure, therefore, that somebody with sufficient technical credentials completes the installation or is available during the installation. If you do not wish to complete the installation yourself, then contact one of the Installation Partners on the list. Before you install Isabel Installing Explorer 5.5 or a later version Please check that Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher has been installed on your system before commencing installation of the Isabel software. If you do not, you can install Internet Explorer 5.5 from the Isabel Business Suite 5.0 CD. Proceed as follows: In the installation navigation screen, select Installation - System Tools - Internet Explorer 5.5. You are now guided step by step through the installation procedure. Remark: If you do not install Internet Explorer, some functions will not be available. For more information, call the Help Desk on 02 - 404 03 04. Connecting the card reader The security of Isabel is guaranteed by means of a Secure Signing Card, for which only you know the password. This chip card requires a card reader. Follow the instructions as listed in section 7 if you wish to order an additional card/card reader. In this manual we will assume that you have a card reader for connection to a USB port. Windows 98 Insert the Isabel installation CD into your CD reader. If the Isabel installation menu appears, click End to close the menu. Connect the reader to a free USB port on your PC. Once the card reader is connected, Window reports that new hardware has been detected and will offer to look for a suitable driver. Click Next. Click again on Next. Once Windows has found the driver on the Isabel installation CD-ROM, click on Finish to install the driver. Continue with "Isabel Business Suite 5.0: full installation", "Installing Isabel WebSign only" or "Installing Isabel eInvoice only" . Windows Millennium/Windows 2000 Professional Insert the Isabel installation CD into your CD reader. If the Isabel installation menu appears, click End to close the menu. Connect the reader to a free USB port on your PC. Once the card reader is connected, Window reports that new hardware has been detected and will offer to look for a suitable driver. Click Next. Click again on Next. Once Windows has found the driver on the Isabel installation CD-ROM, click on Finish to install the driver. Continue with "Isabel Business Suite 5.0: full installation", "Installing Isabel WebSign only" or "Installing Isabel eInvoice only" . Windows XP Connect the card reader to a free USB port on your PC. Windows will automatically install the correct driver for the card reader. Continue with "Isabel Business Suite 5.0: full installation", "Installing Isabel WebSign only" or "Installing Isabel eInvoice only" . Windows NT Workstation 4.0 Insert the Isabel installation CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive to start the installation program. The program starts automatically in the language of your operating system and displays the installation menu. Remark: If this does not happen, in Windows, select Run… from the Start menu and enter Z:\setup.exe (where Z is replaced with the letter assigned to your CD reader). Select Installation followed by Card Reader USB NT4. The installation process commences. During the installation process, you will have to complete the following steps: Remark: If necessary, a wizard first deletes older card readers from your system. The welcome screen of the installation wizard appears. Click Next. Two windows appear containing user licence agreement information. Each time click Yes to continue. A file is displayed containing information about the software that will be installed. Again, click Yes to continue. A window appears prompting you to enter the type of card reader you want to install a driver for. Select CardMan 2020 and click Next to continue. The following window prompts you to enter the number of card readers you want to use. Select 1 and click Next. The driver is installed. When the installation wizard informs you the installation has finished, click Finish to restart your PC. You can now continue with the installation of Isabel Business Suite 5.0. Isabel Business Suite 5.0: full installation A full installation of Isabel Business Suite 5.0 includes: Isabel eBanking: all features for electronic banking. Isabel eInvoice: receive, send and archive electronic invoices. Isabel WebSign: to sign transactions on websites that use Isabel technology. If you are an authorised representative, IsaSign 5.0 (included in Isabel WebSign) allows you to add a digital signature to an envelope or send one separately from another PC.

Remark: When installing Isabel Business Suite 5.0, the modules Isabel eBanking, Isabel eInvoice and Isabel WebSign are installed. It is also possible to install eInvoice or WebSign only.See "Installing Isabel WebSign only" and "Installing Isabel eInvoice only" for further details. Minimum requirements Pentium processor 16 MB RAM memory 110 MB of free space on your hard disk (proprietary bank modules and Internet Explorer not included) CD-ROM and floppy drive Windows 98, Millennium, Windows XP, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 or Windows 2000 Professional.Service Pack 3 is required as a minimum requirement for Windows NT Workstation 4.0. If you use Service Pack 6, you need to have at least version 6a to use Isabel Business Suite 5.0. Internet Explorer 5.5 (128 bit encryption) or higher (see ) a card reader connected to your PC (see ) If you need to use the IsaUser application for the certification procedure, you will also need the following: modem or ISDN adapter to dial up directly into the Isabel network during the certification procedure; printer for printing a confirmation slip during the certification procedure. Preparing the installation If you make a few preparations before you start the installation procedure, you will prevent the installation procedure from aborting and having to be partially re-run. Make a back-up of your hard disk to avoid the loss of any data. Temporarily disable your anti-virus software or software monitoring packages to install the new Isabel software. Run Scandisk to repair any faults on your hard disk. If necessary, see the Windows help system (search word: “scandisk”). The Help function features a shortcut to the help program that you can use to check your hard disk for faults. Installing Isabel eInvoice To install, use the CD sent to you by Isabel. This CD features a wizard that takes you step by step through the entire installation procedure. Simply follow the instructions on the screen. To start the installation program, insert the CD into your CD reader. The program starts automatically in the language of your operating system and displays the installation menu. Remark: If the installation does not start automatically, in Windows, click Run... in the Start menu and enter Z:\setup.exe (where Z is replaced with the letter assigned to your CD reader). Select Installation followed by Isabel Business Suite 5.0. Select the desired language. You are then guided step by step through the installation procedure. During the installation procedure, you will have to complete the following steps: The welcome screen of the installation wizard appears. Click Next. The Help Desk telephone numbers (for technical questions) and the free Info Line (for sales questions) appear on your screen. Click Next. The screen with the contractual conditions appears. To continue the installation you have to accept the conditions. Click Yes. To install Isabel eInvoice, click the Isabel eInvoice only installation option. The installation wizard will now check your system to see if it meets the minimum requirements. Click Next to perform this check.A screen describing the problem will be shown if your PC does not meet a particular requirement. When the check has been completed, you can select the folder to install Isabel eInvoice. By default the software is installed in C:\Program Files\Isabel. Click Next to continue. Use the checkboxes to indicate if you want to place shortcuts on your desktop, in the Start menu and/or in the Quick Start toolbar. Click Next when you have made your selection. By default the Isabel mail application is not started when you try to send an e-mail via the internet. If required, you can change this setting. Click Next. To sign instructions in Isabel and to obtain access to the Isabel network, the correct setting of your system time is of crucial importance. Check your system date and time and adjust them if required. Click Next. A window appears displaying the options you have selected. Click Next again to start installing the software. At the end of the procedure, you will be given a report on the installation and will be told whether or not the installation has been successful. We suggest that you restart your PC after the installation. If the installation has been successful, you can start the certification procedure (see section 5, p. 93: “The certification procedure”). If the installation has not been successful, follow the instructions in the next section ("Configuring your system"). Remark: When installing in Windows XP, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 or Windows 2000 Professional, you still have to configure your system, regardless of whether installation has been successful or not (see "Windows XP" , "Windows NT Workstation 4.0" or "Windows 2000 Professional" for further details). You cannot work with Isabel without a valid certificate. After installing and configuring Isabel, you first need to go through the certification procedure to register yourself as a certified Isabel user. See section 5, p. 93: “The certification procedure” for a complete overview. Installing proprietary bank modules In addition to the Isabel functions, some banks offer their customers their own services. These bank-specific modules have been developed for the various banks in-house. Proprietary bank modules exist for daily trading volumes, online viewing of accounts, following up loans, sending bills of exchange, domestic payment orders for foreign bankers and many other functions tailored to the specific needs of your company. We recommend that you install the proprietary bank modules directly. It is also possible to install the modules at a later stage.All available proprietary bank modules can be found on the Isabel Business Suite 5.0 CD-ROM. To install you should proceed as follows: In the installation navigation screen, select Installation – Bank modules. Select the bank module you want to use.You are then guided step-by-step through the installation procedure. Contact the Help Desk of the bank in question if you experience problems during the installation of the proprietary bank modules. You will find the telephone numbers in the installer on the CD-ROM. Configuring your system The configuration details included in this section frequently apply only if you wish to connect to the Isabel network by dialing in directly via a modem or ISDN adapter.First see "Connecting to the Isabel network" to check that this method of connection applies to you. Windows 98/Millennium If the installation of the Isabel software was not successful, then that is probably because a few settings still need to be changed. The Configuration Diagnostic program can detect a variety of problems (only for Windows 98/Millennium) and help you with the configuration of important PC settings. Open the Isabel Control Panel in the Isabel Software program group in theStart menu . Open the Configuration Diagnostic program. This program can detect any incorrect or missing settings in your hardware and software configuration. The Help window contains shortcuts for instant access to the Windows screen where you can adjust the settings. Depending on the problem, you should carry out one or several of the steps set out below: Install a modem (to do this, use the installation program for your modem); Adjust the modem settings; Adjust the COM port speed of your external modem to the modem settings; Install the external dial-up adapter; Add an adapter for dial-up networking; Add the TCP/IP protocol; Set the TCP/IP external dial-up adapter; Install any upgrades that may be missing. What follows will give you an overview of the most important points for attention. You can also find the same information in the help system of the Configuration Diagnostic program. You can open this help system by clicking on the Help button in the program, or via your Windows Explorer: \Isabel\Bin\Insthlpe.hlp. Adjusting the modem settings For your modem to operate correctly, it is important for you to enter your area number and any prefix required for an outside line: Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Double-click Telephony. Follow the procedure for “Checking the modem” in the help system of Configuration Diagnostic. You can immediately open the correct configuration screen by clicking a shortcut. Checking the COM port speed If you use an external modem, you must ensure that the COM port to which the modem is connected is configured correctly. To do this, you must know which COM port the modem is connected to and what sort of flow control the modem uses. Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Double-click Modems. Select the modem you use to connect to the Isabel server and click Properties. Follow the procedure for “Checking the COM port speed” in the help system of Configuration Diagnostic. You can immediately open the correct configuration screens by clicking a shortcut. Close the Modems Properties window and double-click System in the Control Panel. Select the Device Manager tab and open the Ports (COM & LPT) section. Select the port to which the modem is connected and then click Properties. Select the Port Settings tab and, if necessary, adjust the following settings: For the port speed, use the following indicative settings. Isabel supports modems from 14,400 Bps: Modem speed Port speed 14,400 Bps 38,400 Bps 28,800 Bps 57,600 Bps 33,600 Bps 115,200 Bps 57,600 Bps 115,200 Bps Installing an external dial-up adapter To be able to connect to another computer using a modem, the Windows component Dial-up Networking must be installed. Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. Select the Windows Setup tab. Follow the procedure for “Installing dial-up networking” in the help system. You can immediately open the correct configuration screen by clicking a shortcut. Place the Windows CD-ROM into the CD reader when the program prompts you for it. At the end of the installation procedure, restart the computer and open the Configuration Diagnostic program again. Add adapter for external access (applies only to Windows 98) Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Double-click Network. If Dial-Up Adapter is already included in the list of network components on the Configuration tab, there is no need to carry out this procedure. Click Add. Follow the procedure for “Adding adapter for dial-up networking” in the help system of Configuration Diagnostic. You can immediately open the correct configuration screen by clicking a shortcut. Place the Windows CD-ROM into the CD reader when the program prompts you for it. At the end of the installation procedure, restart the computer and open the Configuration Diagnostic program again. Add TCP/IP protocol Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Double-click Network. If TCP/IP Dial-up Adapter is already included in the list of network components on the Configuration tab, there is no need to carry out this procedure. Click Add. Follow the procedure for “Adding TCP/IP-Protocol” in the help system of Configuration Diagnostic. You can immediately open the correct configuration screen by clicking a shortcut. Place the Windows CD-ROM into the CD reader when the program prompts you for it. At the end of the installation procedure, restart the computer and open the Configuration Diagnostic program again. Set the TCP/IP External access adapter(applies only to Windows 98) Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Double-click Network. Select TCP/IP - Dial Up Adapter and click Properties. Follow the procedure for “Setting up TCP/IP dial-up networking adapter” in the help system of Configuration Diagnostic. You can immediately open the correct configuration screen by clicking a shortcut. Windows XP When installing in Windows XP, the installation program for Isabel Business Suite 5.0 is not able to automatically configure your system correctly. Consequently, you must check the settings yourself and adjust them where necessary. In the overview below you will find the most important screens and settings. Making a dial-up connection Unlike during installing in Windows 98/Millennium, a Dial-Up connection (PSTN or ISDN) is not created automatically in Windows XP. You have to make this connection manually. Log on as administrator and open Control Panel via the Windows Start menu. Click on Network and Internet Connections and then click on Network Connections. Select the Create a new connection option and follow the steps in the New Connection Wizard. Select Connect to the Internet. Remark: If your modem has not yet been configured, the wizard may ask you to enter your location details. Select Set up my connection manually. Select Connect using a dial-up modem. Enter a name for the connection with IsaNet that you have created (for example, IsaNet PSTN, if you use the analogue public telephone network). Enter the access point (POP) telephone number. Specify that this connection must be available for all users. Ensure that the checkboxes for the following options are unchecked: n Use this account name and password when anyone connects to the Internet from this computer n Make this the default Internet connection When you have completed the last step indicated by the wizard, double-click the newly created connection and click on the Properties button. Adjusting the modem settings For a correct configuration of your modem connection, your area number and where applicable the prefix for an outside line have to be entered. Remark: You may already have entered these details when creating the Dial-Up network connection. Select Dialing Rules in the connection window for IsaNet. In the Phone and Modem Options window, select the location from which you are dialing and click Edit, or click New to specify a new location. Modify the modem settings as indicated. Click OK to save the new modem settings. You now return to the connection window for IsaNet. Add TCP/IP protocol IsaNet uses the TCP/IP protocol to communicate with your PC. You must check whether this protocol is already installed on your PC and if necessary add it. Select Properties in the connection window for IsaNet. Select the Networking tab. If the TCP/OP protocol is already installed on your PC, your connection with IsaNet is ready for use. Windows NT Workstation 4.0 When installing on Windows NT Workstation 4.0, the installation program for Isabel Business Suite 5.0 is not able to automatically configure your system correctly. Consequently, you must check the settings yourself and adjust them where necessary. You can find full details for the correct configuration in the help system of the Configuration Diagnostic in the Isabel Control Panel. You can also open this help system via your Windows Explorer: /Isabel/Bin/Insthlpe.hlp In the overview below you will find the most important screens and settings. Double-click Network and select the Services tab. Click Add. Place the Windows CD-ROM into the reader when prompted to do so. When installing in Windows NT Workstation 4.0, the Windows NT Service Pack has to be reinstalled. Setting up Remote Access Service Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Follow the procedure for “Setting up Remote Access Service” in the installation help. You can immediately open the correct configuration screens by clicking a shortcut. Double-click Network and select the Services tab. Select the Remote Access Services component and click Properties. Select the port to which your modem is connected and click Configure. Making a dial-up connection Unlike during installing in Windows 98/Millennium, a Dial-Up connection (PSTN or ISDN) is not created automatically in Windows NT Workstation 4.0. You have to make this connection manually. Double-click My computer on your desktop. Right-click Dial-up Networking and select Open. Click New. Follow the instructions for the New Phonebook Entry Wizard. It is best to choose IsaNet PSTN or IsaNet ISDN as a name for the dial-up network connection. In the phone number field, enter for instance 02-7061800. The temporary telephone details are replaced in Isabel by your local access point number. Make sure that the Accept any authentication including clear text option on the Security tab is selected. Add TCP/IP protocol Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Follow the procedure for “Adding TCP/IP-Protocol” in the installation help. You can immediately open the correct configuration screens by clicking a shortcut. Double-click Network and select the Protocols tab. If TCP/IP already appears in the list of network protocols, there is no need to carry out the procedure below. Click Add. Place the Windows CD-ROM into the CD reader when prompted to do so. After installing the TCP/IP protocol, you must restart your PC. When installing in Windows NT Workstation 4.0, the Windows NT Service Pack has to be reinstalled. Setting up the TCP/IP protocol Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Follow the procedure for “Setting up TCP/IP-Protocol” in the installation help. You can immediately open the correct configuration screens by clicking a shortcut. Double-click Network and select the Protocols tab. Click Properties. Windows 2000 Professional When installing in Windows 2000, the installation program for Isabel Business Suite 5.0 is not able to automatically configure your system correctly. Consequently, you must check the settings yourself and adjust them where necessary. You can find full details for the correct configuration in the help system of the Configuration Diagnostic in the Isabel Control Panel. You can also open this help system via your Windows Explorer: /Isabel/Bin/Insthlpe.hlp In the overview below you will find the most important screens and settings. Making a dial-up connection Unlike during installation in Windows 98/Millennium, a Dial-Up connection (PSTN or ISDN) is not created automatically in Windows 2000 Professional. You have to make this connection manually. Right-click the My Network Places icon on your desktop. Select Properties. Double-click Make New Connection and follow the steps in the Network Connection Wizard. Select the Dial-up to private network option. Enter the connection data. The wizard may ask if you want to use your Smart Card for the connection. In that case, select the Do not use my smart card option. Next you must specify which users are allowed to use the connection. The connection must in principle be available for all users who work with Isabel on your PC. Enter a name for the connection with IsaNet that you have created (for example, IsaNet PSTN, if you use the analogue public telephone network). Open the Properties window for the Dial-Up connection which has been created, and check whether the Allow unsecured password option is selected in the Security tab. Adjusting the modem settings For a correct configuration of your modem connection, your area number and where applicable the prefix for an outside line have to be entered. Select Dialing Rules in the connection window for IsaNet. In the Phone and Modem Options window, select the location from which you are dialing and click Edit, or click New to specify a new location. Modify the modem settings as indicated. Click OK to save the new modem settings. You now return to the connection window for IsaNet. Add TCP/IP protocol IsaNet uses the TCP/IP protocol to communicate with your PC. You must check whether this protocol is already installed on your PC and if necessary add it. Select Properties in the connection window for IsaNet. Select the Networking tab. If the TCP/OP protocol is already installed on your PC, your connection with IsaNet is ready for use. Connecting to the Isabel network Overview You need to be able to connect to the Isabel network for the one-off certification procedure. Working with Isabel also requires you to be able to quickly and easily connect to the Isabel network. There are various ways of connecting to the network but some may involve certain restrictions which you need to be aware of. Connecting in order to work with Isabel In order to work with Isabel, you can directly dial into the Isabel network via your modem or ISDN adapter; use your Internet subscription to connect securely to the Isabel network via SSL. In that case you can connect via modem, ISDN adapter, cable modem, ADSL modem or the router in your LAN (see ). Before you can start working with Isabel, you need to complete the certification procedure to register as a certified Isabel user. Connecting in order to perform the certification procedure You will need to set up a secure connection to the Isabel network during the certification procedure. However, this connection is subject to certain specific requirements. The method by which you make the connection depends on a number of factors described below. You have received a letter from Isabel with which you can collect your Secure Signing Card from your bank: in this case you use the online certification procedure via the Isabel Card Activator Website. This requires you to use your Web browser and your existing Internet connection. You may use the installed Isabel software to connect to the Isabel network if you do not have an existing Internet connection. Your Secure Signing Card is enclosed with your Isabel package: in this case you use the IsaUser program to complete the certification procedure. You either use the IsaUser standard version or IsaUser Internet, depending on the Isabel components you have installed. n Isabel Business Suite 5.0 (full installation): complete the certification procedure using the standard version of IsaUser and use the direct Dial-Up facility using a modem or ISDN adapter to connect to the Isabel network.See "Directly dialing into the Isabel network" for further details. n Isabel eInvoice only: complete the certification procedure using the standard version of IsaUser and use the direct Dial-Up facility using a modem or ISDN adapter to connect to the Isabel network.See "Directly dialing into the Isabel network" for further details. n Isabel WebSign only: complete the certification procedure using the IsaUser Internet and your existing Internet connection. "Connecting via your Internet subscription (SSL)" See for more information. We have provided a number of special procedures, for instance if you need to dial in directly and are not in possession of a modem or ISDN adapter. For a full overview, please see section 5, p. 93: “The certification procedure”. Directly dialing into the Isabel network The standard method of making a connection to the Isabel network is to dial up directly. This may be done using an ordinary modem or an ISDN adapter. The modem or adapter can be connected directly to the user’s PC. Remark: Your PC may not be configured correctly for using a modem or ISDN adapter. See section "Configuring your system" to find out how to check the configuration of your PC and if necessary, how to change it. When installing Isabel in Windows 98/Millennium, Dial-Up connection IsaNet PSTN is automatically created in the Dial-Up Networking folder. These settings are used when you want to make a connection to the Isabel network in Isabel. The Dial-Up connection is not created automatically in Windows XP, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and Windows 2000 Professional. See (Windows XP), (Windows NT Workstation 4.0) or (Windows 2000 Professional) to find out how to create the Dial-Up connection yourself. The IsaNet Manager Settings application from the Isabel Control Panel screen enables you to refine or extend the IsaNet PSTN settings. This may be necessary if you want to change between different modems dynamically in Isabel or if you want to set another modem. Selecting another modem to dial up the Isabel network Open the Isabel Control panel in the Isabel Software program group in the Start menu. Open the IsaNet Manager Settings program. Select the Isabel Network tab. Click the Advanced button next to the dial up method selected. The IsaNet PSTN window appears. Select the modem you want from the list. You can also select your ISDN adapter here. Click OK. Shut down the IsaNet Manager Settings application. When you next connect, Isabel will use the newly set modem. Setting different types of connection This procedure applies if you sometimes use an ordinary telephone connection and want to be able to dial up with ISDN at other times. In that case you need to create a second Dial-Up connection (for instance under the name IsaNet ISDN) so that you will be able to choose in Isabel from IsaNet PSTN and the new Dial-Up network connection. Open My Computer - Dial-Up Networking. Select Make New Connection. Type in the name of the new dial-up network connection, for example IsaNet ISDN. Enter the necessary details in the wizard. The new type of dial-up network connection must have exactly the same features as IsaNet PSTN. After shutting down the wizard, you can run through the settings in the Properties window and make adjustments where required. This is described in the following steps. Select the new connection and open the Properties window by clicking Properties. Use the screen illustrations below to copy the settings from IsaNet PSTN. The choice of modem, of course, depends on your system. Click OK to save the settings. Open the Isabel Control panel in the Isabel Software program group in the Start menu. Open the IsaNet Manager Settings program. Select the Isabel Network tab. Also check the Use ISDN box. Select the newly created connection from the checklist. If you want, you can check or modify the settings again using the Advanced... button. Click OK to save the settings. The next time you connect to Isabel, you will first have to select the type of connection: Technical data for ISDN users You can make a connection to the Isabel network via an ISDN line. However, Isabel does not support all ISDN protocols. Isabel DOES support: 1 B channel of 64 Kb (no “secondary channels”) Async to Sync PPP HDLC Rate adaptation V120 (not recommended) Rate adaptation X 75 (not recommended) Isabel DOES NOT support: Rate adaptation V110 ML-PPP You must set the ISDN configuration in accordance with the manual supplied, based on the details above. If there are any problems, contact your hardware supplier or your telecom provider. See also the procedure "Selecting another modem to dial up the Isabel network" to set your ISDN adapter for connection to the Isabel network. See also the procedure "Setting different types of connection" if you want to use both an ordinary telephone line and an ISDN line. Connecting via your Internet subscription (SSL) You may for any number of reasons opt not to dial up the Isabel network directly, but instead to connect via your normal Internet subscription. For example, you may already have a direct connection with the Internet or not have a modem, but access the Internet using a LAN. That is why Isabel offers the option of connecting to the Isabel network using your Internet subscription. This connection has additional protection, of course, because you are completing financial transactions and exchanging confidential information. Access via the Internet is established via a Secure Socket Layer (SSL), for all intents and purposes a secure tunnel between the Internet and the Isabel network. Two certified users can then gain access to communicate with one another. Access via an existing Internet subscription is not possible: during certain certification procedures (see p. 93). One of the two users still does not have a certificate. when using AutoConnect, the automatic “unmanned” access that makes it possible to send and receive messages without you having to be present. To gain access to the Isabel network via your Internet subscription, you must: sign up to the “Fixed-rate connection via the Internet” module (see section 5, p. 113: “Signing up to Isabel modules”); adjust the settings in IsaNet Manager (see below). You can adjust the settings in IsaNet Manager so that you have the choice of different types of connections Isabel. When you are using Isabel, each time you connect you can select from the options that you have set: you can either choose for direct Isabel network dial-up, or via your LAN or Internet Provider. Connecting via modem or ISDN adapter Open the Isabel Control Panel in the Isabel Software program group in the Start menu. Open the IsaNet Manager Settings program. Select the Internet tab. Remark: Whether you can make an ISDN connection using your Internet provider depends on the technical facilities of that provider. Contact your provider for more information. Set the types of connection that you want to use in Isabel. In My Computer under Dial-Up Networking, you will find the dial-up network connection for your Internet provider. You can select this connection in IsaNet Manager. Remark: It is possible that you need to go through your Internet provider to make a connection to Isabel. If that is the case, enter the user name and the password you received from your provider in the following window. Connecting via cable To make a connection to the Isabel network as a cable user, you must complete the following steps: Check to see whether you have Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher. If you do not, you can install Internet Explorer 5.5 from the Isabel Business Suite 5.0 CD. See "Installing Explorer 5.5 or a later version" for more information. Follow the steps set out below to configure your Internet connection. Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Double-click Internet Options in the Control Panel. Then select the Connections tab. Click LAN Settings. A new window appears. Ensure that options Automatically detect settings and Use automatic configuration script are unchecked. Option Use a proxy server, however, must be checked. Click the Advanced button. The Proxy Settings window appears. In the HTTP, FTP and Gopher fields, fill in the address of the proxy server of your cable company (for example, the address: proxy.cable.be, port: 8080). Contact your cable company for more information. You should leave the fields Secure and Socks blank. In the text field under Exceptions you add 127.0.0.1; *.isaserver.be; *.isanet.be. Note that the addresses are separated by a semicolon. Make sure that the options Use the same proxy server for all protocols is not checked. Click OK. You have now finished configuring your connection. Configure Isabel so that you can use the connection that has been set. Open the Isabel Control Panel in the Isabel Software program group in the Start menu. In the Isabel Control panel, click IsaNet Manager Settings and select tab Local network. Check the Use LAN option and click OK. You are now ready to make a connection to the Isabel network via cable. Connecting via the router in your LAN You can make a connection to the Isabel network using the router in your LAN. The configuration must be set by your network administrator. The following details may help: a connection is established with the host proxy.ssl.isaserver.be. On the Isabel PC, you can configure your proxy using the Isabel Control Panel. Open IsaNet Manager Settings and select the General tab. Then click Advanced Options and select the Hosts tab; you can work with a proxy except for FTP services in proprietary bank modules. You must not use proxies that require proprietary scripts to make a connection (e.g. socks proxy); an Internet DNS must be accessible from the PC; the 7000 to 7099 TCP ports must be open. Some companies have their LAN protected by a firewall, which will only allow limited communication with the Internet. To make access to IsaNet possible, it may well be that the firewall will have to be reconfigured. For technical details, you can contact the Isabel Help Desk on 02 - 404 03 04. Connecting via ADSL ADSL technology (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) allows for a fast Internet connection using your existing telephone or ISDN line. An ADSL modem is used for the connection. There are two ways to make a connection to the Isabel network using ADSL. You have a permanent connection to the Internet.In that case you need to configure access to the Isabel network as described in "Connecting via the router in your LAN" . You have no permanent connection to the Internet.In that case you need to configure access to the Isabel network as described in "Connecting via modem or ISDN adapter" . Communication problems Sometimes when working with Isabel, you may encounter communication problems. When this happens, it is always worth the trouble of following the instructions set out below. Is the modem working correctly for other applications? If you are able to dial in to your Internet provider or other modem applications without problems, the problems are probably not related to your modem configuration, but to the settings for Isabel. Check the settings for the Dial-Up network connection used (default IsaNet PSTN, which can be found in Dial-Up Networking under My computer). For more information about settings for your dial-up network connection, see "Setting different types of connection". The modem is not working for other applications either? If you use an external modem, it is always best to check whether: the modem is switched on; the power supply cable is correctly connected. The modem is connected by means of a modem cable to your PC and with a telephone cable to the telephone network. Make sure that: the modem cable is connected to the port which is selected in your modem settings; the telephone cable is in the correct input. See the modem manual for more information. Is the modem working but you cannot access the Isabel network? The date and time settings are important for the authentication procedure. If your system time is not correctly set, the Isabel server will not grant you access. Choose Settings in the Windows Start menu and then Control Panel. Select the control panel Date/Time. Check the date and time settings and adjust them if required. Is your PC configured correctly? For a number of problems it is worth the bother of launching the Configuration Diagnostic program. You are then given an overview of possible configuration problems (automatic diagnostics only works on Windows 98/Millennium systems). The program includes an extensive help system with instructions on how to resolve the problems. The help system includes separate information for Windows 98/Millennium, Windows XP, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and Windows 2000 Professional. See the chapter "Configuring your system" for an overview of important system settings. Removing Isabel Business Suite 5.0 from your PC (“uninstall”) You can easily uninstall Isabel Business Suite 5.0 from your PC. Proceed as follows: Choose Settings in the Start menu and then Control Panel. Open the Add/Remove Programs control panel. Select Isabel Business Suite 5.0 from the list and click Add/Remove.A welcome screen appears. In this window the Remove option is selected by default. Click Next. Use the checkboxes to indicate if —apart from the program— you also want to remove your folder with Isabel data and the card reader driver. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstall. Upon your first connection with the Isabel server (i.e. during the certification procedure), personalised files will be placed on your hard disk. If you uninstall your DATA, this information will be deleted from your hard disk and you will have to request a new initialisation diskette with your subscription data if you want to reinstall.
